The Bookies are bracing for a multi million dollar payout if The Hayne train continues against the Bulldogs on Friday night and the Eels go on to win the grand final.

Parramatta were at $13 to claim the premiership just two weeks ago after being beaten by the Warriors in Auckland.

But they are the punters' darlings again, largely due to former Fiji Bati fullback, Jarryd Hayne's impressive performance in the 34-28 comeback victory over Penrith on Saturday night.

Hayne produced one of the most spectacular tries of his career to seal the Eels' win, beating eight people and running over 90 metres to score the NRL's best try of the season.

TAB Sportsbet swiftly trimmed the Eels' premiership price to $8 but the betting agency still faces a $700,000 payout if Parramatta win the grand final.

That figure is expected to at least double if the Eels make a golden run to the finals as they did so memorably 12 months ago.
