Bolts Run Described as Best in History
Bolt broke his old record of 9.72 seconds with a new time of 9.69 seconds to become the worlds fastest man at the Olypic games in Beijing.
Johnson, a multiple Olympic champion who still holds the 200m and 400m world records said that he has never seen anything like that before when Bolt slowed down with 10 metres to go but still set a new record.
Bolt will now try to become the first man to complete the 100m - 200m double since Carl Lewis at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984.
He will also target gold in the 4 by 100 metre relay.
Meanwhile, Australia will be out to stop American Michael Phelps from being the first athlete to win eight gold medals at a single Olympic Games on the final day of competition in the Beijing pool today.
Phelps will swim the butterfly leg of the USA and said he expects Australia will be the toughest team to beat in his quest to make Olympic history. The swimming competition starts at 3pm.
Looking at the Beijing Olympic medal tally...China still leads with 27 gold, 13 silver and 6 bronze. USA at second spot with 16 gold, 16 silver and 22 bronze. Germany is third place with 8 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze.
