The world's fastest man Usain Bolt said he did not have a good start during the 100 meters finals today.
The Jamaican sprint sensation confirmed his status as the greatest sprinter in history as he retained his Olympic 100 metres title in style with a new games record of 9.63 seconds.
Bolt said he was worried about his start.
The showman who was doubted by many after a season of defeat and injury, silenced all critics.
His training partner Yohan Blake settled for silver while American Justin Gatlin got bronze.
Meanwhile, a man was arrested after a bottle was thrown on to the track seconds before the start of the men's 100m final.
Bolt's fastest time is his world record which is 9.58 seconds.
Bolt will feature again in the 200 metres and the heats will start at 10.50pm Wednesday while the 4x100 metres will start on Friday.
Meanwhile China is currently leading the medal tally with 30 gold, 17 silver and 14 bronze, USA is second with 28 gold, 14 silver and 18 bronze while Great Britain is third with 16 gold, 11 silver and 10 bronze.
