The world’s fastest man Usain Bolt said he was not fit enough to break his own world record in the 200 metre Olympic Games final this morning.
The Lightning Bolt edged his training partner Yohan Blake in a time of 19.32 seconds while Blake who put up a strong challenge took the silver and fellow Jamaican Warren Weir settled for bronze.
Bolt said he could have broken his record.

Usain Bolt has secured the legendary status he craved by becoming the first man ever to win the Olympic Games sprint double twice in succession.
Bolt’s winning time of 19.32 seconds was outside his own world record of 19.19 seconds.
Meanwhile David Lekuta Rudisha of Kenya set a new world record in the men’s 800 metre final this morning with a time of 1.40:91 seconds.
Rudisha broke his own record of 1.41:73 seconds in style after all eight finalists set a season’s best, personal best or national record in the process.
In the men’s beach volleyball final Germany stunned world champions Brazil to take gold as they became the first European team to win the Olympic Games title.
In women’s football USA beat Japan 2-1 to claim gold and also avenge their world cup loss to Japan.
In Men’s hockey, Netherlands thrashed Great Britain 9-2 to book a final showdown with Germany on Sunday.
The men’s basketball semi finals will be held tomorrow as Spain takes on Russia at 4am while USA takes on Argentina at 8am.
In athletics, the women’s 4x400 metres relay heats will be held at 6.10am, the women’s 4x100 metres relay final will be held at 7.40am, the men’s 4x100 metres heats will be held at 6.45am while the men’s 4x400 metres final will be held at 8.20am.
Looking at the medal tally, USA is now leading with 39 gold, 25 silver and 26 bronze, China is now second with 37 gold, 24 silver and 19 bronze while Great Britain is third with 25 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze.
