Interim Education Minister Filipe Bole is currently meeting with Senior Education officers about his visit to Western Division to flood affected schools last week.

Bole issued a directive last week for all schools to open from today and classes to begin from tomorrow. He is expected to release information on how many schools have been directly affected by the floods and may not be fully opened tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Acting Head Teacher of Ba Muslim Primary School Mrs Hilal has confirmed that normal classes for class 4, 5 and 6 will begin from tomorrow. She said class 1 to 3 will open from next Monday as they need more time for cleanup as flood waters entered about 13 classrooms.

Students have been urged to come to school with bottled water as PWD has not normalized water supply in the premises.

It has also been confirmed that all schools have been directed to open from tomorrow.
