The Interim Education Minister has defended the directive given by him for students to be involved in the consultation process on the Draft People's Charter.
Filipe Bole said the Charter has already been discussed in many of the schools as a current affairs issue, as it is an issue which directly affects the lives of everyone in Fiji.
Bole said it's not a new issue for students as most are already aware of the document itself as it is public knowledge.
Earlier in the week, the Ministry of Education had issued a directive to involve secondary students on the awareness of the People’s Charter where 18 year old students were to be consulted.
