France based winger Filimoni Bolavucu's inclusion into the 12 member team to defend the Melrose Cup is in doubt.
Fiji Rugby Union, High Performance Unit manager Dan Lobendhan Junior has confirmed they are still waiting for his club to give his release.
Lobendhan adds Jone Daunivucu and Neumi Nanuku will jet into the country on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Japan based winger Nasoni Roko has ruled himself out of the 12 member team, after he sustained a knee injury during the Marist Sevens last weekend.
The Waimanu lad who was part of the side that won the Melrose Cup in 2005 said he was looking forward to being part of the side, but he believes the current local and overseas based players can defend the World Sevens title.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula will now rely on the services of France based Jone Daunivucu and Neumi Nanuku for the play-maker role.
Japan based William Ryder also pulled out of the side because of a slight injury.
The other players who are injured and were named in the 24 member training squad include Niumaia Cakacaka and William Rasileka while Emosi Vucago is slowly recovering from his injury.
This afternoon the side will train at the Sigatoka sand dunes as they step up their training.
The Digicel Fiji Sevens team to defend the Melrose Cup in Dubai will be name on Wednesday at 2pm at Sigatoka.
