Navua soccer team striker Pita Bolatoga won't be travelling to Tahiti with the Fiji Beach Soccer Team.

Bolatoga has been dropped from the squad and was also not seen at the two training runs today.

Fiji FA officials went to lodge the visas for the 12 players with the New Zealand High Commission and it is believed that they were told not to apply for Bolatoga's visa as it will be rejected because his late father was in the Fiji Military Forces.

Now only 11 players will travel to Tahiti via New Zealand this Sunday to compete in the Oceania Beach soccer championships.

Fiji Beach soccer team manager Hari Raj Naicker did not wish to comment on the issue.

The Oceania Beach soccer championship is a qualifier to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup that will be held in November.
