The Labasa soccer team is aware of the pressure it is under from teams like Ba, Navua and Rewa in the pool stages of the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants soccer tournament.
Labasa which had the services of Waitakere based Roy Krishna and Pita Bolaitoga in the Vodafone Fiji Fact bowed out in the semi-final to Ba and the Babasiga Lions have also not performed up to expectations in the National soccer league competition.
Coach, Epeli Levaci said his team’s first aim now is to beat Navua in the first game before they focus on their next opponents.
Meanwhile, Pita Bolaitoga has been given the nod to captain the Babasiga Lions in the BOG.
Labasa plays its first match in the BOG against Navua at 1.30pm next Sunday at the TFL National stadium and you can catch a live commentary of the match on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
Labasa last won the BOG in 1997.
