Fiji's top international referee James Bolabiu has been appointed to be part of the Panel of Touch Judges in the International Committee.

Bolabiu's selection could mean that Fiji would see him officiating in the Tri-Nations tournament.

Bolabiu's selection was confirmed on Friday night after IRB's Referees Director, Paddy O'Brien called to relay the message to Fiji Rugby Union officials.

It was also confirmed at the FRU Annual General Meeting yesterday that Bolabiu along with fellow referee Napolioni Locoloco have been selected to take part in the Pacific Nations Cup.

The Pacific Nations Cup competition kicks off on June 21 with Fiji playing their first home-away game against Japan.
