Local based open-side flanker Samu Bola makes his debut in the Flying Fijians 15s rugby jumper this Saturday against Tonga in the opening game of the Pacific Nations Cup.

Coach Ilivasi Tabua has opted for the Kadavu man ahead of New Zealand based Sean Morrell who was dropped from the 24 squad member who travelled to Tonga.

Bola was instrumental in the number 7 spot for the Fiji Warriors team when they won the Pacific Rugby Cup title and also stood out in the trials.

It is likely he will form the loose-forward trio with “Man Mountain” Semisi Naevo on the blindside and Netani Talei at number 8.

The national 15s team to take on Tonga on Saturday at 12pm will be named tomorrow.
