"Friends of Fiji" co-ordinator, Wainikiti Bogidrau is expected to be the next Netball Fiji President after current President Milika Munivai handed in her resignation last week.

Bogidrau, alongside Rubyann Sorovaki, Litiana Bainimarama and a few friends got together in less than 48 hours to help raise more the $30,000 dollars, to help in the team's airfares to take part in the Pacific Cup Series in the Cook Islands last week.

Munivai handed in her resignation letter to Netball Fiji Executives on Friday last week, citing personal reasons, and in due course Secretary Patricia Rokoua and Treasurer Christina Rokoua also stepped down.

Lautoka Netball President, Sala Drasuna has confirmed that elections for new office bearers are in the pipeline, but they will first relay the message to the team that will be arriving this morning, and have a formal transition, before taking their next step.

Presidents from various districts had earlier asked Munivai to step down from her Presidency before the team left for the Pacific Cup Series in the Cook Islands, after she failed to secure sponsorship for the team to travel across.

The National team is due to arrive at 10:30am this morning.
