The body of a 54-year-old man was found in a creek in Visama, Nakelo yesterday afternoon who went missing with his five-year-old granddaughter on Friday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said with the help of the divers, the man’s body was discovered a few meters away from where he disappeared.
The search for the girl continues.
Police say the grandfather and the granddaughter were trying to cross the flooded creek on a log when they were swept away by strong currents.
