Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a newborn baby at a settlement in Taveuni.
A 48 year old woman discovered the body lying outside her house yesterday.
The body is now at the Taveuni hospital mortuary awaiting a post mortem while investigations are continuing.
Police are calling for information from people in the area in locating the mother.
Meanwhile, a 28 year old man is admitted in Taveuni hospital after he was stabbed on the neck by another man.
The victim was drinking with some friends when an argument developed that later resulted in the stabbing.
