Police are currently investigating the discovery of the body of a 14-year-old girl on the beach in Pacific Harbour yesterday afternoon.
Acting Chief of Investigations and Intelligence ACP Luke Navela says the girl has been identified and further investigations are underway.
He says he cannot confirm at this stage on whether the 14-year-old girl has any injuries on her body.
More details will be released later.
