Police are investigating the death of a 60 year old villager of Kanacea village in Taveuni whose body was found beside the road yesterday.
The body was discovered by a fellow villager who was on his way to his farm.
The victim had left Kanacea village for a Kava session at a settlement outside the village.
The body was viewed by a doctor at Taveuni hospital with police investigations continuing.
Meanwhile, Police are looking for an unknown person who grabbed an envelope containing $10,000 cash from a 46 year old company director at a company yard in Tamavua yesterday afternoon.
The Director was getting off her vehicle and was on her way to the office with the money being the wages for her employees.
The suspect later fled in a vehicle DR 517 which was earlier reported stolen.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in Lami.
