Police are trying to determine the cause of death of a 48 year old man whose body was found floating in a creek in Qelemumu, Labasa yesterday.
Divisional Crime Officer NoRatuhern, ASP Luke Rawalai said police believe the deceased was returning from a religious function on Sunday night after crossing the creek when he was swept away by strong currents. No visible injuries were found on his body.
His post mortem is expected to be conducted later today.
Meanwhile, they are also investigating the discovery of the body of a 55 year old farmer of Navulokani Naitasiri yesterday. He was found dead in his plantation.
