In a joint operation between the Navy and Police, a body of a 39 year old man was found at the Wainivesi waterfall yesterday.
The Fiji Navy Diving Team were asked by police to help in the search for a man from Nakorovuto Settlement near Naivicula village, Tailevu, who had fallen into the Wainivesi waterfall on Tuesday whilst trekking near the vicinity.
The diving operation managed to discover the body 10 minutes after they commenced and police from Korovou station were at hand to receive the body.
Police are in the process of conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the 39 year old man.
