It has been confirmed that the decomposed body that was found in a sack in Naria, Rakiraki yesterday is without its head, legs and hands.
Director CID, Waisea Vakamocea who has just returned from the scene confirms they only found the victim's torso in the sack.
The remains are now being taken to Lautoka mortuary and the post-mortem examination is expected to be done later today.
Vakamocea adds the human hand that was found in Rakiraki on Monday has been kept at Lautoka hospital and Doctors will now try to determine if it belongs to the torso in the sack.
Meanwhile, forensic officers are at the scene and are gathering evidence and searching for more body parts.
Vakamocea said they are interviewing people who live in the area as their investigation continues.
