The bodies of a slain mother and her daughter were exhumed yesterday from an unmarked grave in Oregan, USA so they can be laid to rest in Fiji.

Two decades ago, 24 year old former Fiji resident, Raj Narain living in Eugene and her 14 month old daughter, Kamini Kaushal Narain were found in separate Southeast Washington Rivers.

Oregan News reports that last month police using DNA evidence linked the pair as mother and daughter solving a 20 year old mystery of the victims identities.

No one has been arrested in the killings though police are looking for the woman's husband Ashok Narain who went missing a few months after both the bodies were found.

Fishermen found the woman's headless and legless body in a river in Portland on 11th September 1987 and two weeks after the incident a baby's body was found floating in another river.
