The bodies of the two Fijians serving in the British Army, who were killed while on active duty in Afghanistan, are being brought home for their final rites.

The British High Commission confirmed that the body of Kingsman Ponipate Tagitaginimoce will arrive at the Nadi International Airport on Friday 9 July and will be laid to rest on Saturday 10 July at Nakaulevu village, Nakelo in Tailevu.

The body of Corporal Taniela Rogoiruwai will on Monday 12 July 2010 and he will be laid to rest on Tuesday 13 July at Nauluvatu village, Nakelo in Tailevu.

The soldiers were members of the 1st Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, serving as part of Combined Force Nad'Ali and were killed in separate incidents in southern Afghanistan in June.
