Police are yet to recover the bodies of two people who went missing after the flood that badly affected the western division.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said according to police records, two people, a 35 year old woman of Vatukoula who was swept away by strong currents and a 16 year old student who was caught in a landslide in Malabe, are still missing.
Meanwhile, a team of police detectives led by Divisional Crime Officer Northern ASP Luke Rawalai are investigating the incident whereby a man allegedly killed his wife after striking her with a torch last night.
Police have confirmed that the alleged incident took place after a domestic dispute at their home at around 9 o'clock last night.
It is alleged that the man punched his wife and later struck her with a torch.
