France based Sireli Bobo and local based Watisoni Votu have been ruled out of the Digicel Fiji 7s World Cup team on the eve of the team's departure to Dubai for the defence of the Melrose Cup.
Speaking to Fijivillage at Holiday Inn this afternoon, Digicel Fiji 7s Coach, Iliesa Tanivula had confirmed that the duo have been ruled out because of injury.
Orisi Sariki and Waisale Suka have been brought in as replacements and Tanivula has full confidence in them.
But Tanivula is still confident. The Namotomoto native stresses that Bobo and Votu's injuries will not affect his plans for the team.
Meanwhile, Japan based "Man Mountain” Semisi Naevo and former Nadi captain, Vereniki Goneva have been selected co-captains of the team to the World Cup in Dubai.
The players and officials have already left for Nadi and will have a church service this evening at Narewa village before they depart for Dubai tomorrow morning.
Fiji's first pool game is at 4:16am against Georgia next Friday.
