A 29yr old boatman of an Island Resort in the Western Division is in police custody for allegedly raping a 21yr old tourist.
Police Spokeswoman, Ema Mua has confirmed the alleged incident took place yesterday when the Resort employee allegedly dragged the tourist into a room and raped her.
The tourist later reported the matter to other employees, who then reported it to Police.
The boatman will appear in the Nadi Magistrates court this afternoon.
