Board awaits report
Fiji Rugby Union Chairman Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said that while a lot of rugby critics have voiced their concern on some of the players in the team they will have to wait for the coaches report before a decision is made.
Tikoitoga added that the 16 member squad which head coach Alifereti Dere trained at the Army Barracks last week is for a contingency plan knowing that two more IRB Sevens Series leg still remains.
Former Flying Fijians most successful Rugby World Cup coach and former Wallabies sevens and fifteens rep Ilivasi Tabua said in moving forward Fiji should identify what defensive system it will use when it faces the top nations in the Sevens Series.
After the USA Sevens, New Zealand is leading the IRB Series points table with 92 points.
Fiji is still in second place with 87 points followed by South Africa on 76 points, England is on 74 points and Samoa on 5th place with 69 points.
The next leg of the IRB Sevens Series will be held in Hong Kong from the 23rd to the 25th of March.
