The Blues lost 26-9 in their Super Rugby clash against the Brumbies in Australia last night.

The visitors hardly fired a shot in Canberra in a three tries to none defeat that keeps the Brumbies’ perfect home record intact this season.

Coach Sir John Kirwan said they struggled in wet conditions.

In Dunedin, the Highlanders defeated the Rebels 33-30 for their third win of the season.

The hosts had a 10 point lead at halftime, and maintained the buffer in the second half until a Rebels try with three minutes to play.

Winger Kurt Baker could be sidelined having been cited for a first half lifting tackle that’s been deemed to meet the red card threshold for foul play.

Meanwhile, tonight the Hurricanes host the Bulls at 6:35pm while the Reds meet the Force at 8:40pm.

Tomorrow the Cheetahs play the Chiefs at 1am, the Lions host the Crusaders at 3:05am and the Stormers take on the Waratahs at 5:10am.
