The Blues have sworn to spoil the Chiefs recent unbeatable run when they meet in the Super Rugby tonight.
The Chiefs sit at the top of the New Zealand conference with five wins from six matches while the Blues have won just two of their five matches.
A possible win for the Blues has been made tougher with the Chiefs including All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick and former Crusaders lock Dominic Bird in their starting lineup.
It is bad timing for the Blues forward pack that will be without lock Patrick Tuipulotu and captain Jerome Kaino.
Coach Tana Umaga who played for the Chiefs in 2011 said the Chiefs side under Dave Rennie is what everyone wants to be.
Umaga said the Chiefs players have a culture of commitment to each other.
The Chiefs will face the Blues at 7.35 tonight while the Crusaders face the Western Force at 11pm.
The Hurricanes play the Jaguares at 7.35pm tomorrow while the Highlanders play the Reds at 9.40pm.
