The Blues stunned the Crusaders 35-24 to win their first Super Rugby home match at Eden Park last night.

The Crusaders ran out to an early 17-3 lead after 30 minutes when Corey Flynn and Colin Slade got the visitors off to an almost perfect start.

However the hosts capitalised on two counter attacking plays when Frank Halai and Tevita Li both crossed the line just before half time to trail 15-17.

The Blues continued their dominance in the second half claiming most of the possession early on and George Moala and Jackson Willison each cashed in to get a try and give the Auckland franchise its first lead of the match at 29-17.

In another match last night, the Rebels beat the Cheetahs 35-14.

Meanwhile, the Stormers were forced to come from behind to claim a 19-18 victory over the Hurricanes in a tense clash at Newlands this morning.

In today’s matches, the Chiefs will play the Highlanders at 6.35pm, the Waratahs will face the Reds at 8.40pm and the Force will play the Brumbies at 11pm.
