Although the Blues are yet to win a game this year, their head coach Sir John Kirwan believes he is still the right man to lead the side.
After losses to the Chiefs, the Stormers and the Cheetahs there was plenty of speculation about Kirwan's role at the helm of the Auckland‑based franchise, and despite suffering another defeat to the Lions on Saturday he feels he can still turn the corner with his team who are now at the bottom of the table.
Kirwan believes he is on the right track and will turn things around sooner rather than later.
Blues captain, Jerome Kaino who scored his side's only try in their 13‑10 loss to the Lions believes the coach is not solely to blame for their current status.
He said the players need to look at themselves and think about how they execute the game plan.
