The under-pressure Blues have fired a shot at the Hurricanes with stand-in captain Luke Braid describing the Hurricanes scrum as the worst in the competition.

Tonight’s local derby pits the two lowest ranked New Zealand sides against each other in Wellington.

However, the Hurricanes, who lie 10th still have a realistic chance of reaching the playoffs, whereas the Blues, who sit dead last, are well and truly out of contention.

The Blues and Hurricanes match kicks off at 7.35 tonight.

At 9.40pm Rebels will take on Bulls.
