After finally winning their first game of the 2012 super rugby season, the Blues have been hit with Bad news.

Loose forward Jerome Kaino will miss the rest of the season as he will have surgery on his shoulder this week ruling him out of rugby for six months.

All Black world cup winner Kaino received a direct blow to his shoulder during the game against Chiefs but continued to play thinking it would settle as he has had a recurring shoulder issue which he has managed successfully so far.

Reds leads the overall points table with Stormers second and Highlanders third.

In this weeks matches, Chiefs host Brumbies at 6.35pm this Friday while at 7.10am on Saturday, Stormers will play Blues.
