The Vodafone Fiji 7s team lost to South Africa 31-12 in their last pool match as they are likely to meet New Zealand in the Medal quarterfinals tomorrow.
South Africa utilized the number penalties and a yellow card to Vatemo Ravouvou as they scored three tries in the first half while Jerry Tuwai scored Fiji’s first try before half time.
The Blitzboks were leading 17-7 at half time.
In the second half, Joeli Lutumailagi scored a brilliant try as it Fiji a momentum but South Africa sealed their victory by scoring two tries.
South Africa and Fiji qualifies from Pool B.
Fiji is likely to meet New Zealand at 12pm tomorrow.
The semifinals will kick off at 4.16pm while the Final will be held at 7.30pm.
