South Africa have called up uncapped Tim Agaba for the Sydney 7s as a replacement for Justin Geduld.
Geduld was injured in their pool match against New Zealand in the Wellington 7s.
Juan de Jongh also left the field early in the Wellington Cup final against New Zealand due to leg cramps, but he has been given the green light to participate in the Sydney Sevens this weekend.
South Africa is the top seed in Pool B where they face Kenya, Scotland and Russia.
