Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder has denied he is interested in the Scotland coaching job, despite reports in Scottish media linking him with the vacant position.

Blackadder has been tipped by the Edinburgh Evening News to make a return to the city where he played from 2001 to 2004.

However, speaking to New Zealand’s RadioLive this morning Blackadder denied there was any truth to the reports.

Blackadder, who is in his fifth season coaching with the Crusaders, also spent a brief time assisting the Scotland side as forwards coach in 2005.

Meanwhile, the Crusaders will play the Blues at 7.35pm this Saturday in the Super rugby competition.
