The Black Caps have defeated India in the Twenty20 World Cup opener in Nagpur.
New Zealand thrashed the tournament favourites by 47 runs, with spinners Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi and Nathan McCullum taking nine of the wickets between them to roll India for just 79.
Santner has been named man of the match after taking four for 11.
The Black Caps' next group match is against Australia at 9.30pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile England will take on West Indies at 9.30 tonight.
