Good news for the people living in rural and isolated areas, as they will not have to travel all the way to Suva to get copies of their birth certificates in the near future.
Permanent Secretary for Justice Pio Tikoduadua has revealed that for the first time, birth certificates can now be obtained from the Post Office in Tailevu, assisting people in all surrounding areas, with the same service soon to be launched in the North.
Tikoduadua said this will greatly assist the people in cutting down travelling expenses.
