The biggest tournament prize purse in the history of Fiji is up for grabs when the Vatukoula 7s kicks off this Friday.
Organiser Inoke Male has confirmed that Marist 7's champions, Army Green, Police, Wardens, Samurai Barracudas, Ratu Filise and Red Rock will be part of the two day competition.
Male said that unlike any other 7's tournament they only allow 48 clubs to be part of their tournament with the registration fees of $200 dollars.
He added that one of the key areas they have come up with the idea to organise a 7's tournament is to try and get the Vatukoula Rugby Union back where it was known in the 1970's.
The winner of the Vatukoula 7's will receive $35,000 dollars while $10,000 dollars will go to the runner up.
