The biggest delegation presented their i-reguregu to the Vanua of Vuda for the late former President and Tui Vuda, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, this evening.

Members of the Burebasaga confederacy were led by the Marama Na Eroko Tui Dreketi, Ro Teimumu Kepa.

This consisted of Rewa, Nadroga/Navosa, Serua, Namosi, Kadavu and Ba.

Spokesperson of the Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Dona Takalayale confirmed that the members of the confederacy from the different parts of the country have already had their meetings and will make a combined presentation.

The Tui Macuata Ratu Aisea Katonivere led a delegation of the Vanua o Caumatalevu to Viseisei, Vuda this morning to present their "i-reguregu".

While presenting the "i-reguregu", Ratu Aisea said that the Vanua o Caumatalevu mourns the passing away of the former President as he was a true leader and he has left significant examples for the rest of us to follow.

Ratu Aisea stressed that the Vanua o Caumatalevu not only has traditional links to the Vanua o Vuda, Ratu Iloilovatu was also its Roko Tui from 1972 to 1976 and spearheaded the Seaqaqa cane farmers scheme.

He added that Ratu Iloilo as Roko Tui Macuata worked hard in liaising with landowners and Government in this regard.

The people of the Lau province also presented their i-reguregu this afternoon.

He said the Tui Cakau is now waiting for the members of the Vanua to return to receive an update.

Meanwhile members of the Fiji Military Forces continue their hourly vigil over the casket of the Late High Chief.
