The Highlanders Super 14 coach Glenn Moore has confirmed that all his big guns will be travelling to Fiji for a pre-season game against the Suva President's XV later this month.

Moore said this will be their final build-up match before the Super 14 competition kicks off next month.

The side have been training since last week and much of the strength and conditioning work had been done and it was now about finalising the game plan and work on the paddock.

Highlanders is home to All Blacks halfback Jimmy Cowan, locks Tom Donnelly, Israel Dagg, Chris King, Ben Smith, Adam Thompson and Alando Soa-kai.

The Suva Presidents XV and Otago Highlanders match will be held on the 30th of this month at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The Highlanders will play a warm-up game against the Chiefs next Saturday in Carisbrooke before heading to Fiji.

They arrive into the country on Thursday 28th and the match against Suva President's XV will be on Saturday 30th.

Fiji has had a good connection with the Highlanders with players like Iliesa Tanivula, Filimoni Delasau, Manasa Bari, Aisea Tuilevu and Seru Rabeni having worn the franchise jumper.

The Highlanders kicks off its Super 14 campaign against the Crusaders in Christchurch on February 13.
