Big Challenge For Tanivula
The 2008 FRU Coach of the Year was given the job with less than a week to prepare the side for Wellington knowing the expectation of the rugby nation after Waisale Serevi's contract was terminated.
Tanivula knows that 10 of his players are playing in the NZ 7's for the first time, 2 of his players had to be replaced because of injuries and only 10 players training with him for the past two days is the reality he is going through in his first assignment as coach.
In the midst of all of this off the field developments, the Namotomoto lad said he is ready to shoulder the responsibility in trying to end Fiji's 2 year losing streak in the IRB 7's series.
Also current IRB 7's points leader, South Africa coach Paul Treu said with this difficulties Tanivula is facing it will be a driving force for the players to prove themselves in Wellington.
Fiji's opening pool game is against USA on Friday at 12.44pm.
