The bickering and blame game must stop if we really want to help the Sugar Industry.

These are the words of Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama about exchanges in the media by various stakeholders.

He said the industry needs all the help it can get to remain viable adding they have taken some special steps focusing on reforming the various industry institutions and to reduce the overhead cost on the farmers and the millers.

Bainimarama said they are fully aware of the problems and inefficiencies in the industry adding people need to work together to solve these instead of promoting themselves through their statements and appearances in the media.
