There needs to be better liaison regarding activities and preparations between stakeholders for the arrival of cruiseliners into ports of call.
Those were the sentiments of Cruise Committee Member Peter Mazey who said their biggest obstacle is that only some of the stakeholders turn up for their meetings on cruise liner arrivals, while others do not.
Fiji Retailers Association President Himmat Lodhia on the other hand said they do have their members attend the Cruise Committee meetings and are willing to help when and where they can when cruiseliners call in.
It is understood that during the arrival of the last cruiseliner, the Pacific Dawn, not all stakeholders were aware of its arrival while Fijivillage has found out that while stakeholders have lists of cruiseliners expected this year, not all the information on these lists are the same.
Cruise Committee member Peter Mazey said the next cruiseliner The Pacific Princess is expected on the 28th of this month.
