This Saturday Fiji Rugby's best local players named in the Fiji Warriors and the Fiji Barbarians squads last month by national coach Sam Domoni will take to the field to contest a spot in the Fiji A team to take on Tonga A in a two match series later this month.

Domoni said that he is excited to have this opportunity to give our best local players a run against the best local players from Tonga.

In recent seasons the traditional home grown rivalry between the two countries, and Samoa, has been used by the International Rugby Board (IRB) in the annual Pacific Rugby Cup tournament.

The first game in the series will be played at the National Stadium, on Friday 16 April and the second and final game will be played at Lautoka's Churchill Park on 23 April.

The trial for the Fiji A team will take place this Saturday at 10am in Suva.
