The only advice for people after a tsunami warning is issued is for them to move to high ground and people's mindsets need to change so that they do this in times of a warning and not be complacent.
Speaking at a tsunami session organized by UNDP yesterday, DISMAC principal officer Pajiliai Dobui stressed that after a tsunami warning is issued, people need to move to high ground and not make their way home as most did last Thursday.
Dobui added they have started running awareness programs for schools on what students need to do in times like these.
