Gospel High School senior girls sprinter Younis Bese is aiming to create history for her school as she focuses on the 100 metres and 200 metres events at next week’s Coca Cola Games.
Bese said the school and the Gospel community have come out in numbers this year to support the athletes for what could be a historic Fiji Finals for them.
Senior boys sprinter Aaron Powell has already set his goal to win the blue ribbon event while Bese has her eyes on the senior girls 100 metres gold.
Bese said her main threat will come from Alaiwalu Rayawa of Adi Cakobau School and Mereisi Naite of Solevu Secondary School.
Bese’s 100 metres time from the Suva Zone 2 is 12.23 seconds while her personal best stands at 12.01 seconds from last year.
The Coca Cola Games will be held next Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
