Wallabies coach Robbie Deans has supported Berrick Barnes’ decision to take a break from rugby for the immediate future.

The 25 year old has been suffering from migraines and has decided to sit out the remainder of the Super 15.

Deans said the easy option would have been for Barnes to try and keep going and although it is disappointing that he is leaving the Watatahs and the Wallabies at this time, everyone should understand the reason why he is taking a break.

The Waratahs host the Brumbies on Saturday at 7.35pm.
