The village of Rukua in Beqa will not wait for the Vanua of Rewa to decide whether to support or oppose the People’s Charter.

Beqa is the home of Fiji’s fire walkers and fabulous dive spots and is also a part of the Rewa province.

Village headman Jeremaia Tagutuvanavosa said before the villagers were against the charter but they now have changed their stance, saying the villagers are happy to see developments which are an integral part of the Charter.

Meanwhile the province of Rewa will decide in September whether or not to support the Charter in their Bose ni Vanua.
