Ben Smith will move into centre for Saturday's dead rubber Bledisloe Cup test against the Wallabies in Dunedin.
The other backline change sees Cory Jane take Smith's place on the right wing, his first All Blacks test since Twickenham last December after suffering a knee injury in Super Rugby pre season.
There are two changes in the forwards.
Keven Mealamu starts at hooker and Jeremy Thrush earns his first start in the second row.
The All Blacks meet the Wallabies this Saturday at 6.35pm.
