The ousted Leader of Opposition and the Leader of the United People's Party has today resigned from the National Council for Building a Better Fiji.
Mick Beddoes said he resigned because of the double standards practiced by the interim government on a number of issues.
Beddoes admits while meetings and political dialogue situations were moving along well, the NCBBF members continue to have their efforts undermined especially now after the deportation of the Fiji Sun Publisher and Managing Director Russel Hunter.
Beddoes was part of Working Group One within the NCBBF, who were tasked with looking at Governance, Leadership and Constitutional Reform.
Suliana Siwatibau had resigned over the weekend from the NCBBF because of Interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama's appointment as Great Council of Chiefs chairman. She was part of Working Group Two which was tasked with looking at Institutional and Public Sector Reform.
