Wallaby fullback Kurtley Beale will join the Melbourne Rebels at the end of the current season.

Beale made his Super Rugby debut in 2007 for the Waratahs.

According to reports, the Western Force and rugby league outfit South Sydney were also interested in luring the 2010 IRB Player of the Year nominee away from Sydney but that the 22 year old decided to join the youngest of the Australian Super Rugby franchises.

The loss of the versatile Beale will come as a big blow to the Waratahs, with the Sydney native going from strength to strength in recent times.

Meanwhile Waratahs play Blues at 7.35pm this Saturday.

In tomorrow’s Super 15 matches, Chiefs will take on Crusaders at 7.35pm while at 9.40pm Rebels will play Highlanders.
